Barco Variante Espiritual by Amare is part of Amare Turismo Náutico, a company founded in 2013 with the mission of offering authentic and sustainable experiences at sea. Our passion for the sea and our dedication to preserving the history and nature of Galicia led us to create a unique experience within the Camino de Santiago: the Ruta Traslatio.
 
This project arose with the aim of recovering one of the most emblematic and least known routes of the Camino, following the legendary path of the transfer of the body of the Apostle Santiago through the Ría de Arousa and the Río Ulla. The Spiritual Variant of the Portuguese Way offered us the opportunity to combine our experience in maritime routes with a spiritual and historical component, creating a journey that connects pilgrims and travelers with the heart of Galicia.
 
With Barco Variante Espiritual, we want travelers to discover this maritime stage of the Camino in a sustainable and environmentally friendly way. Our mission is to offer an authentic experience, where each crossing is a journey through the history, nature and spirituality of the Camino de Santiago, from a unique perspective: the sea.
 
Today, we are the gateway to the sea within the Variante Espiritual, offering pilgrims the possibility of completing their Camino through the same route that the disciples of the Apostle Santiago traveled.
